Safer® Insecticidal Soap - 32 oz Spray Safer does it again with a time tested, super effective, all purpose general use insecticidal soap. It was made by Safer so you know it has large margins of safety and that it is biodegradable. Safer Insecticidal Soap work against such icky creatures as soft-bodied mites and sucking insects like aphids, scale crawlers, whiteflies and thrips. Insecticidal soap is derived from the action of an alkali on a fat. When insecticidal soap touches the outer body of a susceptible insect, the fatty acids penetrate the insect's covering and dissolve its cells resulting in the dehydration and death of the insect. To knock down an infestation, use this soap on a regular basis. Heavy infestations may require more frequent usage intervals. Test on a small number of plants to evaluate any possible toxic effects. 16 oz concentrate makes over 6 gallons of spray.
