Lacewing Eggs & Larvae

(chrysopa rufilabris)
Looking like tiny alligators, these Lacewing larvae will voraciously attack almost any prey they can grab. A single Lacewing can do heavy damage against aphids, mealybugs & white flies.

Lacewing eggs soon hatch & become larvae. Lacewing larvae come hungry and ready to go - larvae are more expensive, but many growers find the expense worth it on the occasion of an invasion. Eggs and larvae can be hand sprinkled almost anywhere because Lacewings search up to 100 feet for their first meal. Lacewing eggs may be refrigerated for a few days at 38-45 F to delay hatching, but be careful not to freeze them.
